TTC HFH was founded in 1987 by The Reverend James Cavanaugh of the Groton Community Church, United Church of Christ. Formerly all volunteer, we now have a part-time Development Consultant to promote the mission of Habitat for Humanity in the community. Since its founding, TC HFH has built 10 houses in two counties, five in Cortland County and five in Tompkins County.
TC HFH provides sponsorship of two Campus Chapters: Cornell University, and SUNY Cortland. Our Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The monthly mortgage payments from Habitat homes are invested in our Habitat Fund, which enables us to continue building homes in our communities.
Support TC HFH by volunteering your time and skills. Be a part of a rewarding experience. Monetary donations are always welcome as well as donations of land, vehicles and material. Thank you for supporting Habitat for Humanity and our mission. With your support we will continue to build affordable homes for families in need.
